Sunday afternoon saw the culmination of another hugely successful Club Championships, with outstanding golf being played in beautiful sunshine and magnificent conditions on both the Lake and Murray courses.

After a tough opening two-hole stretch on the Murray, first-time Ladies Club Champion Donna Hancock was a deserving winner having led through all three rounds. Donna finished with a great score of 256, eight strokes clear of 2021 Ladies Club Champion Judy Kruger in second place.

Over on the Lake Course, it was another historic day on the Men’s side, with Club stalwart Jayar Martin cruising to a record 12th Club Championship win. With a solid 2-under 70 final-round, Jayar finished 20 shots clear of runner-up Troy Robertson.

With the best NETT score over the four Championship rounds, Jayar also added the C.M.C. Vagg Shield to his trophy haul, while on the ladies side, Irene Cocks took out the Palframan Trophy for the best NETT score over the ladies three Championship rounds.
